Amazon Kindle History

Based on Amazon's history, I put together a timeline of major events in the life of the Kindle:

Amazon Kindle Timeline

I also skimmed each of the 184 articles from the Kindle Press Releases to create this graph of the number of books available since the Kindle was introduced in 2007:

Number of Books Available in the U.S. Kindle Store
This does not include another 2 million pre-1923 out-of-copyright titles and other sources of free books.

Why is this important? It indirectly shows the Kindle market is growing and not dying - Amazon is securing more titles for its growing user base. My research (whenever I finish) won't be obsolete in a few years.

Have you come across a Kindle or other e-reader in any of your investigations? Let me know!
